Hybrid CPR & First Aid training is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to get certified. It blends online learning with an in-person, hands-on skills session — giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace while still practicing the real-life skills you’ll need to help in an emergency.
Whether you need certification for work, school, or personal preparedness, hybrid training is flexible, efficient, and just as valid as a fully in-person class.
How Hybrid Training Works
A hybrid class is made up of two parts:
Online learning modules
In-person skills session
First, you complete online video modules at your own pace. Your instructor can see your progress on their end and will know when you’ve finished your lessons.
Then, you attend a hands-on class to practice the skills and complete your certification.
This format gives you flexibility while still ensuring you learn the skills you need to respond in an emergency.
What You’ll Learn Online
You’ll learn:
When and how to respond in an emergency
Adult, child, & infant CPR overview
How and when to use an AED
Recognizing choking + what to do
Basics of first aid and safety steps
You can pause, replay, or break up the lessons to fit your schedule. Quizzes help reinforce what you’ve learned so you feel prepared for your hands-on session.
What Happens at the Hands-On Session
At the hands-on session, you’ll watch a few short demonstration videos together and then get up to practice skills in person.
You’ll practice:
CPR on adult, child, and infant manikins equipped with feedback devices to help guide depth and rate of compressions
How to use an AED
Choking-relief techniques
Basic first aid skills
Your instructor will guide you step-by-step, answer questions, and help you feel confident performing each skill.

How Long Does It Take?

Online learning: ~2–3 hours (self-paced)
Hands-on session: ~2–3 hours
You can complete the online portion all at once or spread it out over time.
What You’ll Receive
After completing both parts of the course, you’ll receive:
A valid certification card
Real-world skills you can use anywhere
